Project Highlights

A moon dial, from a grandfather clock, had a discolored varnish and very unstable paint with clumsy overpaint restoration.  Removing the discolored coating revealed the original bright painting.  We consolidated the paint back down to the metal support and inpainted into the losses.  The metal received a thin wax protective coating to protect the surface from corrosive agents.
