Fraser Spafford Ricci Art & Archival Conservation Inc. restores, conserves and preserves fine art, public art and archival material for private collectors, corporations and public institutions. We provide extremely high quality work with conservation solutions tailored to the characteristics and condition of the object and the needs of the owner with an emphasis on preservation and retention of authenticity and value.
The company was incorporated in 1997, founded by Sarah Spafford-Ricci and Tara L. Fraser. The lab has staff conservators in each specialty of paintings, paper, objects and public art, all with post-graduate degrees in conservation. Our conservators are highly trained in the trained in the theory and practice of conservation with over 100 years of combined experience, including conserving art and historical material in some of the finest conservation laboratories in North America and Europe. We are members of and adhere to the Code of Ethics for the Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property and the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works. The company operates from a secure lab location near Vancouver, BC, Canada.
We offer a range of conservation services:
- Conservation treatment of paintings, paper, objects and public art, including procedures such as cleaning, repair, restoration, preservation and preparation of items for exhibit or storage.
- Consulting services in conservation including examinations, condition reports and surveys, preventive conservation, maintenance plans and conservation needs assessment for objects and collections.
