FSR work is highlighted in BC Catholic Magazine

The lab at FSR was honored to complete the conservation treatment of an Icon of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help”  (OLPH) belonging to a church of the same name in Point Grey, Vancouver. This 1948 painting in tempera and gold leaf on a hardwood panel is an original painting rendered to replicate the original Byzantine icon held in Rome.  Our cleaning, repair and restoration work is summarized in a blog post:

The BC Catholic magazine published the following story on the treatment.  http://www.bccatholic.ca/component/content/article/1-latest-news/4564-parishioners-raise-funds-to-restore-our-lady-icon
